Many years ago, I dived with an international prize-winning photographer from Tahiti. He would repeatedly get amazing photos and I kept saying to him in amazement, “Fabien, you have done it again!” I was there before him when he created an absolute diamond with a bright Red Giant Frogfish on a Black Coral Tree in dark green water at Komodo. (See right) But I did not have “the eyes to see it”. My attempt was a ‘stone. I was not able to get a direct shot of the fish without branches of the coral tree in the way. The other thing he did was to shoot up almost vertically to capture an emerald green ‘sky’ that

gave the desired sensational impact.
