Get ready to dive into one of the world’s most extraordinary marine spectacles at CuttleFest 2025 , where thousands of Giant Australian Cuttlefish gather in the shallow waters of Stony Point , near Whyalla, in the newly National Heritage–listed Cuttlefish Coast Sanctuary Zone . Held in the heart of South Australia’s Upper Spencer Gulf Marine Park , this unforgettable snorkelling experience is led by Experiencing Marine Sanctuaries Inc. (EMS) , alongside accredited volunteer snorkel guides and National Parks and Wildlife Service SA marine rangers.
From 5–20 July 2025 , you’ll have the rare chance to witness the world’s largest cuttlefish aggregation — a dazzling underwater display of colour, camouflage, and courtship behaviour. These intelligent creatures put on a show like no other as they change colours and textures in real-time to communicate and compete for mates. Each 45-minute snorkel tour includes a full safety briefing and is ideal for confident swimmers aged 5 and over . You’ll be
