Getting dive bombed by a friendly Hawksbill Turtle
maintain the shrimp in a position that is accessible to the camera lens. The very stiff dorsal bristles provide strong deterrent to being eaten as do the spikey rostrum that protects their eyes. As I mentioned earlier, the astounding feature of diving from Walindi is the variety of dives and marine life. If you are observant, you will notice that each dive site is dominated by a different type of coral. It is as if each is a separate microcosm of a marine ecosystem. That is why Walindi sponsors university researchers to study the marine life here in the heart of the coral triangle. It is one of the world’s best living laboratories.
One of the guests was happy to pose for me.
