DIVE LOG AUSTRALASIA FEB 2025 ISSUE 410

Two dives a day is the norm here, with provision on some days for a third afternoon dive, or to take a tank out from the shore. The boats are big, slow, and take a relaxed journey out to the dive sites. The furthest dive sites to the north of the atoll take about a half hour trip, the closer ones fifteen minutes or so. Enough time to relax, check the gear, have a look at the scenery, and watch a spinner dolphin or fifty leap as the boat meanders past them. I described many of the dive sites last year in a

Dive Log article, but this year we did some different ones that I’d like to tell you about. Firstly, though one I did before. There is one dive site that you must simply do as often as you can whilst you are here, and that is Manta Point.
