F or the second November in a row I have travelled to the Maldives to dive with Diverland Gan at Equator Village Resort. Located in Addu Atoll, the southernmost Maldivian island group is not far from the equator.

This resort is beautifully located on the water, near some magnificent dives, and close to the airport. I must admit I do like it these days when the drive to the resort is only a few minutes long. The rooms here are well provisioned and cool, the meals brilliant and the bar well stocked.

The swimming pool is fantastic, and the snorkelling is only twenty metres away from the closest rooms. All in all, a great place to stay, diving or not. But it really is the diving we travel for, and that doesn’t disappoint either.
