Another vital aspect of citizen science in diving is revealed when you try to do some research. So many times, you quickly realsie that NO ONE on the planet knows answers to the questions you pose. In the effort to find out more, you find yourself on the cutting edge of knowledge once again, staring over the cliff of darkness, ready to fall into oblivion of the great unknown.

Here is an example: Lo and behold, at Jervis Bay, I spotted a tiny dark blue Scissortail about four cms long, deep inside a cave. I could not believe imy eyes and quickly realized that this was a tiny 4 cm baby Blue Devil, with very similar appearance as a Blue Assessor from the Reef. It rapidly disappeared never to be seen again. This is
