S ailors of old spent a lifetime sailing the world’s oceans and never saw the beautiful marine life that was directly beneath them. The wild and dangerous seas have been described as a deadly mistress which has claimed three million ships worldwide, shipwrecks lost on the sea floor over the last two millennia. Modern day dive boats seek out the same perilous seas. This time, they are equipped with scuba gear, underwater cameras and a fervent desire for exploration. These sailors seek high adventure, encounters with bizarre sea creatures, excitement and discovery. They see a sea filled with wonder and magic. I too am one of these modern day adventurers. So far, I have spent well over 400 days cruising the Great Barrier Reef. Hundreds more sailing the Solomon Sea, the Indian Ocean, the Koro Sea, the South China sea and the South Pacific. This time, I want to recall the Bismarck seas, North of PNG. There is no greater adventure than cruising the pristine waters of PNG. These rich waters of the coral triangle reveal so many living treasures to us as we
