We do not even realise that it or a flu virus has tried to attack us but our immune system was able to destroy it before we became ill. All we notice is a tiny sniffle and forget all about it. Some people are far more vulnerable to succumbing to these attacks, lose limbs and some even die. That is, most of us survive because we are “FIT”. We have the right stuff to survive. There are many aspects to being “FIT” It could be having near perfect camouflage and being able to hide. In the case of Fairy Basslets, having sharp wits, fantastic reflexes, excellent eyesight, being vigilant and living in a school provides enormous safety and protection This means they can survive attacks from deadly predators such as Trevally who continually try to attack them. Another aspect of being “FIT”, could be a way of keeping warm, A Seal having a thick layer of blubber and special density fur enables it to survive in extreme cold. Thin humans feel the cold earlier than well insulated humans. REPRODUCTION Living things that are successful and survive can them go on to maturity and to produce offspring.
