Comments: Top Shot: The photo above takes five to ten minutes to set up. First find a colourful sponge garden. Next swim around it to find the best angle for the photo. Take a test shot of the water above to ascertain the ambient light. Then, move flashes if you need to and take a test shot to get the perfect exposure of the sponge garden. Now for the most difficult part. Wait for the fish to adopt a position that ‘fits” In this case, swimming into the frame. A litttle knowledge of fish behaviour helps here. These White Ear Parma fish are strictly territorial. They will swim back and forth across their territory keeping a close eye on the intruder. All you have to do is to stay still and wait until the guarding patrol has the fish in the right position. Then take the shot.
