What is the best exposure? Try to expose for the lightest and brightest feature of the photo. The Turtle and diver photo above had to have the settings for the light face of the turtle and the diver. This is considered to be a good idea because you can adjust the background light in Photoshop to a degree. It is easier than manipulating the over exposed faces. That would make the overall ohoto darker.

Self Analysis Self ANALYSIS is a powerful tool for improving. I, for one, find it difficult to understand people who take the same lousy quality photographs from year to year with no thought of improving. For me, the challenge is to strive for excellence and to try to improve as much as possible.

Ask yourself, How can I improve the photo? Can I make the subject have greater impact?

Always enjoy your own work. This is a favorite photo. It is all about pleasing yourself.
