My web site www.mikescotland.com.au has lots of hints tips and settings W ide Angle underwater photography is the best way to capture the magic and adventure of diving. Wide angle photos allow the viewer to place themselves in the picture. This article explores the elements of Wide Angle photos and how to get better photos. Many of these elements remain citically important, even with use of the latest digital cameras that do ot require much mental input. PHOTO COMMENTS:

Top photo of a Spotted Sweetlip from Komodo. As I entered this cave, I was amazed by the fairyland colours. I adjusted my camera settings for the low light, moved strobes and tried to breathe very slowly. I have to move in at a snail’s pace so as to not spook the fish. Then, I had to wait until the fish was centred, the position I wanted to capture. Left: One of the Polish guests on board Oceania wanted to pose with a turtle. Notice how I shoot slightly upwards to capture the blue water and balance strobe light on her face and the Hawksbill. I had to move strobes to avoid over exposing the shot. Exposure should always for lightest and brightest, i.e. faces.
