Sleeping Copper Banded Butterfly fish, Kalinda Grubb reef, Townsville

Long Nose Butterfly fish upside down, Bunaken

impossible to forgo a night dive when on a live aboard such as a recent trip to Komodo, even when I was unwell. For me, in a world where mankind is hell bent on chopping down the trees, digging up the earth, covering it with concrete and bitumen and killing everything, I love being surrounded by the abundant life in the ocean. There is magic in the sea, and the greatest magic of all happens in the darkness.
