well, but these guys are at another level. From Izzu who organised the diving, Allan and Safdhar who looked after me most in the water, and then Nuttey, Waahid, Bachoo, Ashfag, Saadiq, Idhu, Moosa, and Sajidh on the boat, with Sanee and Joyce in the office. Apologies to anyone I’ve forgotten! Imagine what it’s like to go to work every day at a job you adore with ten to fourteen of your best mates who also are having fun whilst getting everything done. That’s what this place is like. Never lose it guys!! It should be mentioned that whilst there are beautiful beaches on the island, there are few swimming spots and even there you have to be careful of currents. This is not a place where you want to be swept off the island. There are no places for snorkelling or for shore dives. Freediving can be done off the boats for those with suitable experience. This is not really a trip for non-diving partners, unless they’re happy to sit next to the pool with a book and a mocktail. However, for divers who are a fan of adventure, big fish, and crystal-clear water this is the place for you. I can guarantee you that your perception of tiger sharks will have changed in the time you spend here. Mine certainly did. Fuvahmulah Scuba Club With some of the most impressive shark diving guides I have ever had to pleasure to work with, this place has to be on your bucket list. The Shark Residence was where I stayed, and it was beautifully kept, very comfortable, and had great air conditioning, a must in such a hot climate. It is a short walk to restaurants and can be found on the scuba club website. www.fuvahmulahscubaclub.com
A new tiger rises out of the depths to come and see what is going on.
Nosing around to see where the bait is, a large tiger passes through a mass of fish hoping for a scrap or two.
